Fully air conditioned/heated and spacious penthouse apartment with south facing terrace located within the small picturesque village of Cabanas. Our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom, luxury penthouse apartment which is of a high standard and offers all you'll need for a wonderful holiday. Large flat screen TV,and dvd complement the airy, spacious, comfortable lounge. Both the lounge and fully fitted kitchen lead onto a spacious south facing terrace, which overlooks the gardens and pool, it is ideal for sunbathing, outdoor eating or relaxing drinks before bed.



The development is located in its own grounds with access to two shared pools. The pools and garden area are well-maintained and are solely for residents use. It is close to the village, restaurants/bars, supermarket and beautiful waterfront (200 metres walk). Golf is 1.5 kms and the beach 200 metres.

Neighborhood

The apartment is located approx 5 minutes walk from the sea front where local fishing boats take people to the 3km unspoilt beach of Cabanas through the day in season. The boat costs approx 1.20 euro return. There are changing/showering facilities on the beach and a cafe bar. Parasol's, beds and jet skis are also for hire. A short drive down the road will bring you to Monta Rota where you can park and walk onto the beach and there are also many more beaches along the coastline to explore.

Close to the Ria Formosa, a nature reserve, the area is ideal for walking/bird spotting/cycling and various water sports. There are also historical sites to visit.

Cabanas has its own small local market selling fresh fish/meat/fruit and veg. There is a local bakery and a couple of butchers as well as a supermarket that is open daily to approx 8pm. There are 2 banks with cash machines and a post office. There are a wide variety of restaurants offering freshly produced local dishes as well as dishes you would expect to find on the menu especially for children. Some also do take away food. There are also a number of bars including a sports bar showing all football fixtures. There are more tourist attractions that can be found on the Western Algarve that can be reached either by the use of a hire car or by booking a tour bus. Trips to Seville and inland Portugal are also an option as well as boat trips/diving that can be organised locally. Bikes can also be hired. We will be happy to provide you with more details as we learn more about the area every time we visit!

Here there are numerous cafes and restaurants offering a good choice of food at excellent value. The 2 minute ferry-boat across the lagoon takes you to the beach where there are 3km of lovely golden sands. Cabanas is a delightful place to relax and if you enjoy walking, you can explore the coastline and the natural areas of beauty nearby.



The nearest town is beautiful and historic Tavira which is about 4km away and can be easily reached by bus, train or taxi. The surrounding area offers numerous opportunities for visiting nature reserves, castles, bustling markets, quiet fishing villages or busier retail areas. For any shopaholics and golf widows there is a major outlet shopping centre within a ten minute drive.





Other areas of the Algarve are easily accessed, including golf courses. Seville is approx 2 hrs by car.
